In all of your life, you have never been more prepared to serve the mission of Jesus than you are right now. All along, God has been readying and shaping you – through your life experiences, your spiritual search, your challenges and your triumphs – to serve in ways only you have been uniquely gifted and equipped to do.
What is your shape? Do you like to fix things? Are you passionate about art…or serving meals…or leading others? Maybe you enjoy spending time with children or want to help welcome people to our church. Perhaps you like to work with technical equipment, sew, or even use your acting skills in worship. Or maybe God has given you a passion for a ministry that we do not yet have. You might see something and ask, “Why doesn’t God do something about that?” He did, he made YOU.
How Do I Use This Catalog?
Take time to pray and ask God to direct you. Look through the servant roles in this catalog. The servant listings are organized by ministry areas and a description of each role is offered. There is also an online information request form if you’d like more specific information.
“The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body.” 1 Corinthians 12:12
Signing Up
Once you’ve decided how you’d like to serve (or you’ve thought of a whole new servant idea not listed here!), pick up a Servant Commitment form at the church office or online. Fill it out completely, by either:
- identifying your new serving choice, or
- confirming your current serving role and that you would like to continue serving in this role, or
- describing your own new ministry/servant idea.
What Happens After I Turn in My Servant Information Form?
You’ll be contacted soon by a ministry leader who will share more details about training and schedules, and help you get started serving. If you have a new ministry idea, someone will meet with you to help clarify what you feel led to do and help you find the right connections and support.
Keep in Mind…
We can best love God and his people by serving the way we were designed to serve. We need not demonstrate love through greatness, perfection, or power, but through humble servanthood.
